Beyond the Classroom

This learning space refers to the rich and engaging experience students have in unique environments that are in fact, beyond the classroom. This learning space can be broken into two groups, first group being incursions, second, excursions. Incursions happen at school and often, an outside educational company is employed to visit the school and run an educational 'experience' that supports content taught in the classroom. More commonly known, excursions are activities organised by the school, where students leave the school grounds to engage in an educational 'experience', that again supports content they are learning in the classroom. Having both supervised and attended incursions and excursions, I believe they are a great and effective learning space that provides a real-life example for students. I believe there is a lot of opportunity in this learning space, and I am excited to give my future students the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom.
