The E-Space

The development of the e-space in the classroom can be seen as a contribution to the 21st century demands of our world. Today's children have been born and raised in a technologically savvy society, and therefore IT and online learning is imperative and an important learning space that needs to be implemented in all schools and classrooms. Personally, I am a fan of this learning space, as both teachers and students have the opportunity to access a range of educational resources and activities, overall providing new learning opportunities. Eventhough I am not a qualified teacher as of yet, the e-space has provided me with multiple educational opportunities through which I was able to demonstrate during my practicals. Through the e-space, I have access to a range of teachers inspiring educational blogs from all over the world, access to 'teachers community' Facebook chat groups where resources are shared and questions are answered, as well as access to educational websites that provide lesson plans, worksheets and activity ideas. Multiple times throughout my practicals, I have used the e-space during my lessons, which has given my students opportunity to learn in an alternative, engaging and modern way.
