This space is the centeral spot where all learning occurs. Due to 21st century demands and expectations, there has been a shift from a traditional learning space/classroom to an open learning space/classroom. For me, the open learning space is something that I have not witnessed too much at school during my practicals. Since I went through Primary School in a traditional classroom setting, this concept is quite new to me and I am still trying to understand how a student can learn and concentrate working on the floor or sitting on a bean bag, as opposed to a simple desk and chair- which is what I am used to and how I learned in all my years of schooling. My research on this topic has definitely positively contributed to my thoughts on open learning spaces in the classroom and I am excited to witness their multiple benefits.
